Quick Catch Up: Part 1

We got home from the hospital the day after Jackson was born around 7:30pm. It was so mice to be home. We walked Jackson around the house and he met his sister-cat, Maybe.

Jackson in his crib for the first time.

He was jaundice and needed biliblankets, so he was a little glow worm for a few days. They were a pain and made it difficult to hold him. We did a little happy dance when we got the call that he didn’t need them anymore. It really felt like he was home then. we got to hold him without those crazy cords.

He dropped down to 6lb, 7oz at four days old. We almost had to supplement with formula, but we worked on feeding him like crazy. He ended gaining 7oz in two days, then up to 7lb, 13oz by his two week appointment.

Of course, being a newborn, he enjoyed sleeping most of the time. And he was so cute while he slept.

He found his thumb pretty quick.

Jackson and Tim’s favorite pastime is cuddling.

Tim gave Jackson his first faux hawk.

He had his first sponge bath and loved it.

Maybe was feeling left out, so she started cuddling next to me while we slept.

We had a mini-photoshoot to get some photos for Jackson’s announcement.

Here he is at three weeks…
